Big Task Weekend
Today, American health and welfare is a vital national concern – and an expensive one. Experts predict the average Fortune 500 Company will spend as much on employee healthcare as it earns in pre-tax profits. Executives at all levels are joining forces for solutions.
Enter Ferrazzi Greenlight's Big Task Weekend. This intimate, unconventional forum – now in its third year – is a conference unlike any other. We gather top executives, thought leaders, government officials, and nonprofits to discuss research, issues, and policy geared toward helping America get healthier.
Big Task Weekend has grown into a leading business development vehicle creating immediate opportunities for participating companies. Ferrazzi Greenlight's executive community comprises hundreds of C-level Fortune 500 executives. Big Task Weekend extends that community to participating companies in a forum that produces meaningful research initiatives and serious business partnerships.
Our 2007 Weekend brought together more than 50 executives, including presidents, CEOs, CMOs, COOs, SVPs of HR, SVPs of Sales, and executive directors. Industries represented included Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), healthcare, technology, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, banking, non-profit, government, and more.
Inaugural sponsors have renewed their support, and we've added new sponsors and attendees each year. Collectively, participating companies represent 2 million employees and a Gross National Income sized between that of Brazil and Australia.
A sampling of partnerships generated during Big Task Weekend includes:
- A CPG company joining with a national beverage company on a licensing initiative and beverage ingredient opportunity
- A CPG becoming a supplier for a national meal planning business
- A CPG allying with a healthcare company's physicians to create education and product claims
- A healthcare company's nutritionists and a CPG company's produce managers jointly educating consumers on the benefits of fruit and vegetables
- A global fast-food chain incorporating a manufacturer's soy products in its shakes
- A non-profit organization and two CPG companies working together to lower grocery costs for the nonprofit's members
In short, we gather the right people and ask the right questions to create positive social change and improve clients' business.
